stl file single select the file you want to open so it is highlighted and down at the bottom there is an Options button, click that and it opens a window, under Units there is an Import Units button, switch that to mm or in depending on how your file was saved out originally. Keep in mind I believe it keeps as a default when you change that and you may have to go back and return it to whatever units you normally save in.
